When Asians do have a double eyelid, as opposed to a monolid, the eyelid crease tends to be positioned significantly lower on the eyelid than in a Caucasian eye.
Asian eyelids tend to have a more significant amount of subcutaneous fat, which extends farther down in the upper eyelid, in comparison with Caucasian eyelids. For these and other reasons, the goal of cosmetic surgery meant to transform a monolid into a double eyelid in Asian patients typically is not to give the eyes a Caucasian appearance.
Rather, the goal is to create a double eyelid that gives the eyes greater visibility and expressiveness, while remaining natural-looking for an Asian face. Monolid eyes and hooded eyes are different conditions.

And if you do like it, you have a five-year guarantee. It may last up to ten years, it may last forever, but so far, I don't see any loose ends or feel like it's going to come out any time soon! And even if it does, I'll just go back and get it redone. I could even change the shape if I wanted to! The options are endless. And like I said above, they offer a five-year guarantee after the procedure. The Procedure. Full Incision This technique is best suited for those patients with excess fat and skin in the upper eyelid.
Partial Incision This technique is best suited for those patients without excess skin but do have excess fat within their eyelids. No Incision This method is ideal for patients that do not have excess fat or skin in their eyelids. Most patients experience minimal pain after surgery. Degree of swelling is patient specific and depends on the amount of trauma incurred by the surgery e. Stiches removed days after surgery for incisional methods.
Bruising usually resolves at about 2 weeks. You may return to work desk job after 1 week. You may drive weeks after surgery. You may gradually resume physical activity weeks after surgery.
